Afraid of Bidding Mistakes on Nutbid

Buy and sell

We love when a novice bidder comes up with a challenge, but we encourage you to participate in the small auctions first. Once you get the feel of a few live auctions, you can easily go for the bigger ones.

Don’t Go For the Crown Jewels Don’t run after the item everybody is running after. Not only will you face stiff competition from pro bidders, but you would also have to stand against veteran bidders.

These two facts, when taken into consideration, can become a very big reason for you to lose the auction. Once you start to understand the mechanism of live auctions you will realize that, to go for a highly popular item, you will need to protect your bids until the last moment - and there is no guarantee, when the auction will end.

We also recommend, that you engage in only bidding on one such auction a time.

Also, please remember there is a buy option available to you. If you lose an auction, you can still go ahead and buy that particular item. Take bidding as a game and not a war. People win and lose every time. Don't get disheartened after a loss.

Who knows - the next auction you participate in could be your lucky one?

Don’t set an absurdly low upper limit as well, especially when bidding on highly popular items.

You should spend more time and, of course, more money to increase your chances of winning these items. As a rule of the thumb, try setting an upper limit of 1/3rd of the original price of the item to increase the chances of winning.
